Artesia Award

One of a set of substantial awards in sandstone and starfire glass. Sandstone, as a major structural element, reinforces the impression of weight, solidity and permanence in an award. In the Artesia, an aquashaped starfire circle with a sculpted bottom edge is fused to a correspondingly sculpted sandstone base. Second side etch and colorfill optional. Due to the nature of sandstone, the exact thickness, color and surface texture may vary from piece to piece. Etching or colorfill on sandstone is not available.
